Spi~derman, Spi~derman, Doing the hos a Spi~der can

This post is late. I saw Spiderman on Saturday, and now I'm posting. But...oh well! My thoughts on Spiderman 2.

I thought it was okay. Doctor Octopus was really cool, I liked him and his tentacle thingies. The actor's face reminded me of Hades from Hercules (in a good way). The story wasn't bad but it wasn't exactly thrilling, either. And the CG was pretty hokey in a couple places, which didn't bother me in the first movie, but...happened so much in the second one, I wasn't terrible impressed by the fighting.

Though flying hostages are cool.

The part of the movie that sucked major was Mary Jane. OMG what a ho! I can't stand how, in movies now, you can't get a romantic couple together without humiliating some poor random shmuck in the process. Her fiance actually cared for her. He was a sweet guy, a good guy, who did nothing but support her--asked her to marry him, wanted to be loved by her. And what does she do? Leave him at the alter. At the GODDAMN ALTER, with a NOTE.

You don't do that to a person. She should have told him, like, BEFORE the damn wedding. A week before--a day, an hour, ANYTHING! Anything to prevent that poor boy from standing in front of all his friends and family, utterly humiliated. He was crying, for God's sake--are we supposed to go, "Yay, Mary Jane, good job going with Spiderman and scarring that man emotionally for the rest of his life! Way to go! He's really crying, he totally thought you loved him, what a jerk!!"

GOD. Movies suck.

Okay. I'm done.
