Countdown Post - Bridge To the Turnabout
For the record, I still like "Magnificent Turnabout" better as a title B:
This is one case where I actually enjoy the first day more than the second. By a LOT. Thanks to Edgey <333
The set up for this case is great, and the first time I played it, even though it was coming off of the disappointing 3-4 I was really interested. I'm a sucker for sweet couples, so Phoenix/Iris interested me right off the bat. It's always better when Phoenix takes a personal interest in the case at hand. And then there's a murder and WAHHHHHHH PHOENIX FALLS AIEEEEEEEE!!!
And then you get to play as Edgey <333
I really love the oppertunity to play as Edgeworth. Though his personality in 2-4 was presented very strongly, the extra oomph in 3-5 really solidifies how much stronger he is than the vulnearable drama king in 1-4. His play between Gumshoe and Larry is hilarious all over the place, especially the image of him and Gumshoe ducking for cover so they can overheard Larry's muttering to himself at Heavenly Hall. Even caught in a bizarre situation Edgeworth deals with it confidently, and brings with it his sharper sense of sarcasm. Plus, Edgeworth trying to break Larry's pysche locks is awesome <3333
Then there's court, and though my enthusiasm falters a little with Franziska back as prosecutor, I like her in this case better than in JFA, because she's even less than a threat now than she was then. Even Edgeworth refers to the first day of court as a kind of filler, and it does feel that way. All the contradictions in the beginning are pretty nitpicky, dealing with the exact time of night. It's not until Larry takes the stand that things really become interesting.
But Larry really makes up for it XD;;. He seems even more hopeless than usual, but that only makes him better. Larry at his finest, even! Seeing his sketch for the first time really did blow my mind a little XD
By the time it gets explained...I'm not so much a fan anymore. But at least the setup was grand.
The rest tomorrow. ALMOST FINISHED!!!
