This is my first post
Jan. 13th, 2004 12:34 pmAll right. So I have this journal, and despite being pretty much against the concept of the live journal in general, here I am writing in it. So here's a little bit about me, and then I promise never to post about me, my life, my anything. Because I don't see why anyone would care about what's going on in my life when they have their own to worry about, and the people that do care are probably already my friends so I can tell them personally. So...yeah.
That being said, here I am posting about my life. Just a little.
I am Croik. I am in my early twenties. I like anime. I like video games. I like to write fanfiction about anime and video games. I like to make music videos about anime and video games. I like yaoi, but I don't consider myself a fabid fangirl, because I was once anti-yaoi and I respect that some people just don't like it. Or, moreover, that not all living beings need to be slashed. I support both yaoi and het couples, depending on the characters at the time.
If you'd like to see examples of the work I've mentioned above, you can find them at my homepage, www.croik.com. I have fanfiction from several different series of anime and games, and about...15 or so music videos. But don't try to download the videos, they're not working. Try amv.org. The site is also home to the ever infamous "Gundam Wing is a Victim of Fan Rape" essay I wrote...almost three years ago, now. I still get responses about it from time to time.
I also have fanfiction up at ff.net, under the user name Croik.
I'm studying Japanese and I hope to work in the anime/manga industry (translating) someday. As soon as I find a job. Yeah...
And that's really all you need to know about me. If you wanna know the anime and games I like, I think most of them are listed among my interests.
And so, this journal from henceforth shall be, "Croik's Place to Spout Random Things." I have some time between my classes on Tuesdays to spend at this here computer lab, so rather than waste time checking my email a dozen times, I'll probably just mutter on about one thing or the other. Possibly things I've encountered over at fandom_wank, because that can be amusing. Or other stuff. Or whatever.
