I'm going to leave some prompts/ideas but feel free to do whatever, I like being surprised. I added some prompts for tricks and treats, but really I don't mind something that falls in between, and in general I prefer dark to light fics/art. MM Rares Letter
Jun. 4th, 2016 09:40 amHello fellow fan! Thanks for checking out my letter :D. I've been doing Yuletide and other exchanges for years but this is my first time with this particular challenge. Since these pairings are so rare I'm not picky at all, and I enjoy being surprised. I'm going to include some prompts but please feel free to make it your own.
Likes: Always happy to receive porn! In general I like darker stuff, so rough sex, angry sex, dub-con or non-con are all good. I like pairings that are complicated and a little messy. I like darkfic and sadfic, but I do also like comedy, especially if there's an edge to it. Action and violence is good, at any level. Big fan of characters falling for people or enjoying things they never thought they would. Above all else, what's important to me is the spirit of the canon.
Dislikes: Fluff and crack. Alternate Universe, the only exception being Steampunk. Not a huge fan of 1st or 2nd person fics.
And if it so happens that we matched on Tanaka and you're looking at this like " D: " please know I'm totally cool with gentle snuggles for those two, or some high school misadventure, or whatever canon-styles mishaps Tanaka and Ohta can get into.
The Evil Within
Joseph/Ruvik, Leslie/Ruvik, Administrator/Sebastian
I'd love anything with any of these four pairings. I love all the horror aspects of TEW, so something in STEM is very welcome, but pre or post game is great too. I really like the idea of Ruvik/Admin drawing out the secret fears or desires of whoever they're with. Anything sexy or gory is very welcome. I'd especially like fic or art that depicts one party clearly in control of the other, even if it's not the one you'd expect. Some prompts:
-Ruvik taunting Joseph in the time where he's separated from Seb, playing on his dark fears and desires. I wrote a lot about them when I requested this for Yuletide last year, if you're interested, here.
-An earlier experiment with Ruvik and Leslie, when Ruvik realizes that they're compatible. Or maybe some kind of power struggle post-game as Ruvik tries to maintain control over Leslie's body. I know Leslie in pairing fic can be tricky, so don't take him anywhere you're not comfortable.
-Some kind of fight between Seb and Admin would be awesome. Either Seb encountering the wraith version of him in the STEM, or a post-game abduction situation. Those hands are an awful lot like tentacles, no??
I didn't include Seb/Ruvik just because I've written soooooooo much with them I thought it would be weird to get matched for it. But I absolutely love the pair and wouldn't mind flavors of it within a fic, especially with Joseph.
Dark Souls 3
Lothric/Lorian, Lothric/Kamui, Orbeck/Leonhard
I'm super into the tragic aspects of Dark Souls, which is pretty apparent in the two brothers. I think they're just gorgeous and their devotion to each other even more so. Anything depicting their co-dependency and "fuck everyone else" attitude is awesome. Maybe as Lorian is first accepting his brother's curse?
I was also very interested in Black Hand Kamui, protecting his master's final resting place even though Lothric has already abandoned his duties and the world is coming to an end. We don't know much about him but I'm all about that helpless loyalty. He stayed while Gotthard fled, so there must be a reason.
I think threesomes aren't necessarily encouraged in this challenge, but Lothric/Lorian/Kamui is my jam. Maybe Kamui ships it hardcore and likes to spy on the brothers?
As for Orbeck and Leonhard, I just think they're both hot, lol. And Leonhard wields powerful sorceries in his own right, likely being well trained as a member of the nobility, so it's not like he and Orbeck would have nothing in common. Leonhard taunting Orbeck over his past, Orbeck getting the upper hand on him somehow, unmasking him, one of them using Rapport on the other - all great wizardy fun.
Bloodborne
Alfred/Bloody Crow of Cainhurst, Alfred/Gilbert, Laurence/Brador, Micolash/Edgar
The two things I love most about Bloodborne are the lore and the fashion *_*. I love all kinds of speculation on how Yharnam was during the beginning of the church/the scourge, how everything slowly fell apart, how the people living there dealt with (or didn't) their home gradually descending into the state it is now. Anything that depicts or explores these characters in their tragic glory is very welcome. And especially if there's some emphasis on their clothes. Some prompts:
-Why do we fight the Cainhurst Crow in Yharnam? Maybe he came back to the church ward looking to complete unfinished business? To avenge his queen, to smite the last Executioner for good?
-Gilbert gives you the firesprayer. Maybe it was Alfred that gave it to him? Alfred is the one Yharnamite who seems very hospitable to outsiders, so maybe Gilbert found a friend in him.
-One of the big speculations is that Brador was the one who killed Laurence and now wears his horns. Would love to see how that goes down, or maybe Laurence and Brador at a time before the beast scourge basically ruined everything.
-We find Edgar in the Mensis Nightmare, so was he there still spying for the church, or had he converted? It takes a certain level of mad to want to stay with Micolash while the world is ending.
Uncharted
Rafe/Cutter, Rafe/Harry, Rafe/Nate
During Uncharted, I didn't care much for Rafe at first. It wasn't until the very end when he got blown up and was wounded, messed up, and a little mad, when I really appreciated him. I would love to see him paired with one of the franchise's guys, especially if it's him in a tousled, vulnerable position, but still defiant like he is in that last fight. Pushy, power bottom Rafe would be amaaaazing. Liiiike:
-Rafe and Nate hunting for the treasure in Scotland, their personalities clashing.
-Rafe and either Cutter or Harry working together to get the same artifact, using totally different skill sets and getting in each other's way.
-Alternately, Harry trying to steal from Rafe and finding out why that's a bad (or amazing?) idea.
Tanaka is Always Listless
Tanaka/Ohta
Oh these two. Ohta is so devoted to Tanaka, it almost doesn't make sense unless he's in love with him. Honestly I'm kind of head-canoning that if Tanaka isn't suffering some kind of chemical imbalance, he's playing up his laziness just so that Ohta will take care of him more. And Ohta likes taking care of him because it means they're together more, and also he feels depended on and he likes that. Anything with Ohta's devotion to Tanaka is welcome.
Though to be honest, what I reallllllly want is somnophilia. It's kind of begging for it, especially if it's what Tanaka secretly wants (because he can't be bothered to initiate). So Ohta fondling Tanaka while he sleeps is A+. But that's pretty rapey, so if instead they're both awake but pretending to be asleep, but encouraging each other....? Some kind of lazy sex between them would be awesome.

Fics and stuff
Nov. 22nd, 2011 11:07 pmSo I went and dropped one of my two Inception Big Bangs. I might have been able to get through them both in time if not for the Team Ico collection and Uncharted 3 and... tumblr. Fucking tumblr, lol. So I'm still doing the Cobb one, but the Eames one (as usual) wants to be a million freaking words, so I'm just going to finish that on the side, at a slower pace. Plus there are things I want to do in other fandoms, as well, so without that deadline it'll be easier to hop around a little.
In case anyone still reads this LJ (???) here's the fics on my "to do" list:
Inception
Big Bang #1 - Proceeding as planned.
Big Bang #2 - Still working on, but don't expect to see any for some time.
E/F pronz - Been trying to write this for months! As soon as I finish BB1 it'll be my reward.
Elephants - I have some of chapter 3 written. I'll probably cut it down from my original outline, but it will still be trippy and porny and hopefully an interesting fic.
Avengers
Big Bang - oof yes I signed up. But really I don't have to start until January. It's gonna be Steve/Loki, maybe even...mpreg!? I know, this fandom doesn't need more mpreg, but I've never done it before, and at least with Loki it's possible unlike some canons. I really want to write Loki as this beast of a mother willing to slaughter anything in his path, no woobie preggers, no Alpha/Omega whatevs. Lots of fighting and angst.
Loki/Bucky - I have an idea that would easily fit into 4 or 5 parts, where Loki saves Bucky but Bucky mostly thinks he's the devil... Why not, right!?
Person of Interest
What I really want to write is epic deathfic, but I don't think I could handle being retconned every week, so THAT plan is on hold until the end of season one. Also had the idea to do a PoI/Heavy Rain crossover, but again, want to hold off on plotty stuff, at least until they cave and give us some Finch backstory.
There's been some really good PoI fic coming out already, but so much of it is Reese drawing Finch out, I'm itching to write something about how fucking damaged Reese is, without it coming off as woobie and melodramatic. How to do that, not sure yet.
There's probably more but that's all I can think of atm. Not sure yet if I'll ever do the Helix and Paradox sequels I planned, I'm not sure I'll have steam left in Inception by the time BBs are done, but we'll see. I still love these characters!
I've been spending more time on tumblr lately, since so many of my LJ buds have moved on, but I'm still here, will keep this journal for fics, etc. Maybe I'll do a gif dump of all my tumblr crap after the holiday.

-I like slash, het, and femmeslash (though I don't think femmeslash would fit in any of the requests I made this year...). Gen is great, too! So don't feel like you have to toss people into bed if you're not cool with that.
-Any rating is fine. Graphic violence and/or sex is great, but tame is great, too. But please nothing extremely kinky or non-con (dub-con is cool, especially for the Hotel Dusk prompt, like if there needs to be a LOT of alcohol involved).
-I prefer angst over fluff. Sweet and sentimental is great as long as it's not too WAFF. I like ships that are complex and bittersweet.
-My fav pairings for these fandoms are Blake/Jayden, Kyle/Bradley, Kyle/Rachel, Kyle/Dylan, Reese/Finch, Reese/Fusco, Finch/Fusco. I'm okay with tons of others, but please no Blake/Madison, Kyle/Mila, or Carter/Fusco. (whoa just realized I've got two Detective Carters. Carter Blake/Lionel Fusco blows my mind a little now that I think about it).

Biiiiiiiiiig Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaang
Oct. 16th, 2011 09:54 amIBB just had its second check-in. I think I'm doing okay at this point. A while back I calculated that I need to write at least 500 words a day in order to pass 20k on both fics, and that hasn't been a problem, but I'm 11k in on #2 and it's going to need a looooooot more. Probably time to put my focus back on #1 and get that squared away, then just plow away on #2. Now that Yuletide's finally been announced I'll have to make some time for that, too, but those never take long (it's usually a 2 or 3k deal for me). I'll just have to be careful about what I sign up for. Won't have time to replay Drakengard this year, lol.

So the new television season is off and running, and because I'm trying not to have Real Housewives reruns playing every time the TV is on, I've been trying out some of the new shows. And just because I feel like it, here are my results~

In other news, I am reading....a book *GASP*. Yes, a real, paperback book. This may not sound monumental, but I actually haven't sat down with a book for a long time. For the past few weeks my lunch breaks have been taken up with The Somnambulist, which I picked up from Borders at 70% off after seeing it on a steampunk rec list (yes, I have developed a tentative interest in steampunk). Unfortunately, a little over halfway through the book, the plot has not moved ahead so much as one iota since the opening chapters. I'm pretty sure the entire point of this book is to introduce ugly, unlikeable characters, who assure me that something is going to happen, or something has already happened, without any explanation. Every single character has at one point said to the protagonist, "I heard about Clapham," so that said protagonist can wince, or squirm, or tell them to shut up, but if the reviews are to be believed, "Clapham" will never be explained. This book is all punk and no steam :\ And there certainly isn't any sleepwalking!
Has anyone heard of this book, or better yet, have any steampunk recs that are actually steampunk and don't suck?
Maybe next time I'll talk about movies...

In other news, I am reading....a book *GASP*. Yes, a real, paperback book. This may not sound monumental, but I actually haven't sat down with a book for a long time. For the past few weeks my lunch breaks have been taken up with The Somnambulist, which I picked up from Borders at 70% off after seeing it on a steampunk rec list (yes, I have developed a tentative interest in steampunk). Unfortunately, a little over halfway through the book, the plot has not moved ahead so much as one iota since the opening chapters. Why I Adore Eames/Fischer

When I came out of the theatre after watching Inception for the first time, my shipping compulsion didn't drive me toward Eames/Fischer right away. Like many people I was thinking Arthur/Eames, with a lesser interest in Cobb/Fischer and even Arthur/Fischer. It wasn't until I really dug into fandom that I gave much consideration to Eames/Fischer, and now, a year later, it's grown to become my favorite Inception ship. In fact, it has so much going for it, it still surprises me that there aren't more people who ship it, too. So for the fandom crowd that may be burning out on their favorite ships after a year's worth of squeeing, and the people still coming into Inception fandom for the first time (yes, they are still coming!) I decided to whip up this quick & dirty manifesto of sorts, to say just what I love about this pairing and hopefully gain some converts!
