Even after playing through all the rest before it, 2-4 is still my favorite <3

First of all, Maya is barely in it :D Not only that, but there's finally a case Mia isn't able to figure out long before Phoenix, so she can't pull her "I know what happened but I'm just going to leave you breadcrumbs until you discover the truth yourself" bullshit. Every time she says, "What is Edgeworth thinking? I just don't get it," I celebrate. Damn right, lady, watch the master at work <333

Okay, so I'm biased again. But Edgeworth is so fantastic in this case. Despite a few bumps he's confident, he's in control, and the fact that Phoenix can't help but act like an angry dork around him makes it even better. It's great to see Edgeworth at his finest, especially once you know there's also some vulnerability beneath. I loves it <3

And Phoenix is pretty fabulous in this case, too! Of course, by fabulous I mean really really queer. His reactions towards Edgeworth are so delightful <3. You'd think there would be at least SOME relief he could show to Edgeworth about seeing him again, but no! He tells him he wishes he had stayed dead! Could it be that Phoenix isn't much better at sharing his true feelings than Edgeworth? 8D~~~

Okay, fangirling aside, Phoenix takes Edgeworth's departure very personally, which is shown in this case. I'll refrain from any more 1-5 remarks, and simply say I like seeing Phoenix's tempermental side. You don't normally think of Phoenix as someone who would hold a grudge, but he says in T&T later that the one thing he can't stand for is betrayal. And not in an wangsty way, either - in a "get out of my sight, I hate you" way (which is a little angrier than wangsty). Phoenix can be pretty laid back but he shows a bitter side when it hits him where it hurts, showing just how much that one experience as a child has affected him after all.

I'm also a big fan of Adrian in this case. She's a great character, and I appreciate the darker feeling of complexity the characters in JFA have overall. The suicide issue especially seems a little darker than the series usually goes, but I think it was very effective here. Especially when Edgeworth usese it against her. Though the first time I played it the words "YOU BASTARD!!" poppped out of me, it's one of my favorite moments in the series. Totally effective.

Franziska continues to annoy. Gumshoe is totally loveable, and having Pearl as an investigation parter is more fun than Maya. And then there's Matt, but... I'll save that for part two 8D~

Meanwhile, an update on my computer:

I'm currently writing this post from my own computer, with the original hard drive intact! In the end my dad and I were able to replace the capacitor on the motherboard for the low cost of $3. My harddrive is fine, and all my data has been recovered - rather, it was on the original HD all along and was fine. Didn't stop Best Buy from charging me out the ass, of course, but I'm just glad Enji made it through. He's a tough little bastard and I love him <3333

I'll be taking much better care of him from now on :D
