croikI've come to a decision about Embracing Love (or, if you prefer, Haru wo Daiteita)
There's too much sex.
Now I enjoy hard yaoi as much as the next person, and Ms. Nitta's style, though not the most attractive, at least has consistent proportions and, for the most part, believable positions. And in several cases the sex is part of the plot and serves something of a purpose. But every chapter ends with a sex scene of some point, and even after only two books it's getting old really fast!
I actually really like the characters. Katou and Iwaki are just...really cute, and I like the fact that Iwaki's the older, more experienced actor but is totally a little pussy in every other way. They grow on you. But if every single 30 page chapter is going to be Incident->Angst->Solve->Sex I'll cry.
Oh, and Iwaki's really stupid. "We're not really lovers..." OMG you've been taking it up the ass from him the ENTIRE book and the one before it, and now you're living together and having sex a lot. That makes you lovers. >O
Though, amazingly, it's better than most yaoi manga out there. So, like, buy it. It's silly, but it's funny and there's lot of porn. With balls.
